Yesterday was our youngest daughter’s birthday – after school drop offs, laundry catch-up, kitchen clean-up, chicken feedings, and a staff meeting at school, I was left with exactly one hour and a half to find birthday girl a brilliant gift and ingredients for her special dinner and homemade cake (our family’s birthday tradition). To Target I went. Running through the isles like a mad woman, I bumped into this top. Okay, so I got slightly distracted for a few seconds ; )
It was 12 bucks on the clearance rack. Big spender. Yes, it’s poly but I love the mod pattern, fun faux leather trim, and tapered line in the back. The whole look just feels fresh to me. Note: it appears to be regular price online but more than likely on clearance if you check your local store.
Here’s a close-up of the pattern. Kind of has a Kelly Wearstler vibe. I wore it with black leggings, a tank, and wedges for my first day of teaching today. It’ll be cute layered with a denim jacket and boots in the fall.
In case anyone asks, I got the silver monogrammed necklace from this jeweler on etsy a while ago. Wear it with everything.
I’ll try to share birthday pics with you, and the gift that little one loved – try to bear with me as I survive this first week back at school…oh and I haven’t forgotten about my designer sale – that’s coming up too!!
